Position Summary:


As a key driver to the development and delivery of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, the Sr. S&OP Analyst will prepare advanced reporting and analysis critical for “C” level management business reviews. The Sr. S&OP Analyst will have a strong understanding of how to provide meaningful and actionable information utilizing large and often different types of data to facilitate an effective decision-making process that balances demand and supply, integrates financial and operational plans, and links high-level strategic plans with near term operational plans.

The Sr. S&OP Analyst will lead supply chain planning efforts and build tools and processes that support key objectives such as demand, capacity, and supply planning, inventory modeling, service and revenue forecasting, plan optimization, and gap analysis. It is also critical that the Sr. S&OP Analyst coordinates and leads cross functional efforts that identify key improvement opportunities, designs a plan of action, executes the plan, reports the results, and ensures sustainability.

The Sr. S&OP Analyst will be responsible for a product portfolio that coincides with the level of experience.

The Sr. S&OP Analyst will report directly to the Manager of S&OP and will also support various areas of responsibility lead by the V.P. of Fulfillment

  • Prepares and presents S&OP forecast to support the monthly “C” level management business reviews
  • Creates, monitors, and maintains S&OP metrics and key performance indicators, identifying resulting risks and opportunities
  • Consolidates and analyzes demand and supply information for the operational, tactical, and strategic plans
  • Supports ad hoc and established gap analysis for the executive team.
  • Develops advanced analytical tools and reporting to support the entire S&OP process
  • Drive objectives for on-time delivery, lead times, inventory turns, revenue attainment, etc.
  • Helps facilitate cross-functional communication between the Business Units and Supply Chain in support of major S&OP initiatives, new product launches, line extensions, promotions, discontinuations, productivity projects, decision-making modeling of process flow, inventory levels, cost of manufacturing, distribution, transportation, etc.
  • Identify short-term and mid-term capacity risks, driving recommendations through the S&OP process
  • Work with Plant Managers and Value Stream Leaders to optimize production efficiencies with a focus on cycle times, batch sizes, working capital, and shift strategies
  • Drive optimization for Cost, Capacity and Customer Service
    • Work closely with supply and demand teams to develop ideal demand forecast and RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity Planning)
    • Starting with consensus sales plan, generate a preliminary production plan consistent with planning method, target inventory policies, and available capacity
    • Determine target inventory and planning method policies for major products with input from business and segment leaders
    • Coordinate production priorities to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction
    • Work proactively with suppliers, manufacturing plants, DC Operations, Sales, Sales Operations, Product Management, Finance, and Demand Planning to ensure availability of finished goods to meet customer requirements while optimizing plans to meet organizational objectives.
    • Support decision-making and the improvement of critical processes including Production Scheduling, Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory Planning, Capacity Planning, Transportation Planning, and Distribution Resource Planning.
    • Drive resolution to operational issues, while keeping cross-functional partners aware of supply and service issues
    • Attain and maintain subject matter expertise in all areas related to S&OP planning methods and planning tools
    • Responsible for system integrity relative to planning parameters (safety stock parameters, planning time fence, lot size, etc…)
    • Drive the weekly tactical S&OP process, including the balancing of demand and supply, the handoff between MPS and finite production schedule, and the reporting of critical items to key stakeholders.

  • BA/BS college degree or its equivalent in relevant area –Supply Chain, Logistics, Operation Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, etc.; MBA a plus.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP or Forecasting/Planning Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain/consumer products company.
