Position Summary

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating and analyzing reports for monthly close, monthly forecasting, the annual budget process and ad hoc projects and requests.  The Sr. Financial Analyst will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and driving an increased focus on operating expense analytics, manufacturing costs, sourcing savings, and capital expenditures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standard reporting from BPC on monthly and other periodic basis driving increased visibility to key spending trends. Reporting to include, but not limited to: closing packages, variance analysis, and forecast bridges.
  • Lead and conduct reviews with functional owners to drive cost center control and insight toward potential risks / opportunities; including coordination and consolidation of forecasting assumptions for operating expense spend.
  • Prepare overall financial reporting packages for budget, forecast, and periodic review for the following groups: R&D, Sourcing, CEO, Finance, and Other Corporate.
  • Prepare Capital Expenditure financial reporting. To include: Budgeting, Forecasting, and tracking progress of R&D and Sourcing capital as well as consolidating company-wide forecasting and budget capital data
  • Prepare Sourcing savings reporting: Create annual templates, assist in budget, track progress of projects, and conduct periodic reviews with the Sourcing team
  • Prepare monthly Hedging and PPV forecast analysis to assist in Hedging decisions
  • Develop and maintain reports for management including, but not limited to: Inventory, Conversion Costs, Hedging, Material Variances, Holdback, Operating expenses, and Capital
  • Perform coordination and consolidation activities for annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Support the Corporate Finance Team, FP&A teams, Corporate Management, and Function Leaders with ad hoc requests and reporting requirements
  • Assist the VP of Finance with ad hoc requests, operating expense analysis and other financial/operational projects.

  • A. or B.S. from four-year college or university
  • Minimum of four years related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                                  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Mathematical Skills                                                       

  • Strong financial modeling skills, especially income statement and expense analysis.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                          

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills                                                  

  • Outstanding PC skills in Microsoft environment, including spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation capabilities.
  • Experience with the following systems preferred:
  • SAP, BPC, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
