Position Summary

This position handles all inventory transactions for shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and engineering production orders within the Development Building.  This includes maintaining the inventory space and orderly storage of components.

Primary Responsibilities

Clear incoming firearms (render safe)

  • Inspect packages for damages
  • Complete inventory transactions in SAP and other systems as needed to receive inventory
  • Report and resolve any damage or shortages or other receiving issues
  • Allocate deliveries to the appropriate location
  • Label serialized items prior to delivery to the Gun Room
  • Prepare and print shipping labels, stage shipments for outbound deliveries
  • Contact Carriers for freight pickup and delivery
  • Track shipments for delivery of serialized items
  • Resolve freight claims in a timely manner
  • Complete inventory transactions to ship/dispose inventory as required
  • Create transfer for serialized products shipping to ILN/ARM
  • Identify materials with the R & D Storage location for easy access
  • Monitor and adjust warehouse space and locations accordingly
  • Cycle count inventory, resolve discrepancies
  • Load and unload freight trucks as necessary
  • Move material between buildings
  • Process Engineering Production Orders
  • Participate in the Yearly Physical and Serial Number Inventory
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Skills and Education Required

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Proficiency in the safe handling of firearms and ammunition preferred
  • Proficiency with SAP transactions strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Working knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Knowledge of shipping requirements strongly preferred
  • Ability to stay focused to task completion
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
  • Great eye for details, basic math skills
  • Background in manufacturing is a plus
