Perform repair and rebuilds on machinery and equipment in the general area of responsibility. Maintains the security of the building, and performs service and repair maintenance on building facility and plumbing, heating, and electrical systems. Related work as required or as situation demands.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities
Repair new machinery or equipment as needed, including alterations, renovations, and design of work place installations. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Required to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram. Must have an in depth knowledge of hand and machine tools and their functions. Be knowledgeable in servicing and wiring of single phase and three phase electrical equipment. Strong background in pneumatic principals and the repair of air operated equipment. Required to set up and service programmable logic control devices. Follows all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations. Required to work any required overtime and any shift.
Educational Skills and Experience

Certified electrician, two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS sheets, and product labels. Required to work with mathematical concepts such as measurements, including use of precise measurement tools such as calipers, to perform precise set up or adjustment to machinery. Must apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, etc. Must be able to work independently. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
