To insure the accuracy and integrity of all financial information generated and reported at the plant site. Responsibilities include, and are not limited to, managing the day to day activities within the Accounting Department, and providing financial analysis to all levels of management at the plant and corporate levels as needed.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities (*Essential Functions)
Manage the overall activities of the Accounting Department. This includes Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Accounting, and Cost functions.
Advise, support, and direct all areas of plant and corporate management in accounting-related matters
Provide plant and corporate management with financial “tools” which will have an impact on decision-making processes.
Educate plant management and supervisors on financial-related topics (i.e. “check book accounting”, variance analysis, order integrity, etc.)
Develop Accounting staff to enact more efficient methods of handling day to day activities (i.e. evaluate the needs of each task; determine alternate, more efficient methods of accomplishing tasks)
Establishing job performance standards, expectations, and measures for all subordinates, including providing ongoing feedback for each employee relating to their performance against those expectations.
Coordinate and take an active role in the following major initiatives within the Accounting organization:
Ensure compliance of all company policies and procedures.
Follows all plant safety rules and regulations.

BS Degree in Accounting or Finance with 10+ years of manufacturing accounting supervisory experience required.
Strong manufacturing accounting skills, especially in the areas of Cost and Inventory Management.
Strong administrative and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to build and motivate a team towards the accomplishment of company and departmental objectives.
Strong PC related skills including various Windows based software applications.
Must be proficient in Excel/Word/Power Point software
Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
