Position Summary

General Summary Program

 

Set up and make adjustments to Robot and CMM equipment. Assist Supervisor in developing new processes and products or correcting malfunctions in existing processes.

Primary Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Accountabilities (*Essential Functions)

 

Set up machinery. Make cutter changes and change gauges. Diagnose problems with machinery and equipment not performing to gauge and perform necessary repairs and adjustments.  Assist Engineering personnel or act independently with engineering approval to develop new processes and products. Correct malfunctions with existing processes and products. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram.  Understand programming and operational techniques at a level necessary to set up and diagnose production problems on robotic machinery in areas of responsibility.   Follow all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations. Required to work any required overtime or any shift.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, MSDS sheets and procedure manuals. Work with mathematical concepts such as measurements, including use of precise measurement tools such as calipers, to perform precise set up or adjustment to machinery. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, etc.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
