Set up and operate any standard or special production type woodworking machine, single or in a group. Make all tool changes and machine adjustments. Perform various supplementary operations.
Follow instructions given by supervisor which can include the following:
Process components through a single or series of automatic, semi-automatic or manually controlled standard or special production machines. Perform any supplemental deburring, filing, hand reaming, and sanding or minor assembly operations as required. Check quality of parts visually and by gauging in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and frequencies. Make all changeovers on standard or special production machines. Check to determine when tools are dull. Make all necessary tool changes and machine adjustments on all but the more complicated machines. Count work and maintain daily production records. Maintain positive attitude in regard to housekeeping, quality and productivity cost. Follow all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations. Required to work any required overtime or any shift.
