  • Position Summary

    The PMO responsible for coordination and completion of projects.  Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects.  Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of projects.

     

    The PMO’s duties (either as facilitator or actively as owner) include identifying, prioritizing, managing, monitoring and reporting on all related work to achieve goals and specific strategic business objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • PMO must oversee all project plans developed and maintained by the project management office.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, define critical path, and resource requirements to meet project objectives.
    • Communicate project status and results in weekly meetings and periodic written and/or oral presentations with Senior Leadership.
    • Coordinate with all functional groups that contribute to projects.
    • Participate in formal program Milestone reviews with Remington leadership
    • Drive the creation of standardized processes, procedures, and tools.  
    • Enable systems thinking, cross-functional verification and decision making.  
    • Promote efficient and improved relations with project teams.
    • Provide alternative solutions and recommendations in order to meet project goals and utilize available resources, when necessary.

     

    Knowledge of:

     

    • Project management principles and tools proven in real life scenarios and diverse work environments.
    • Principles, practices, procedures and techniques of creating and producing a variety of effective written materials; organizing and summarizing data and information.
    • Principles and techniques of business organizations and operations.
    • Microsoft applications, such as: Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.

     

    Ability to:

    • Develop and track project plans; organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple work activities and meet critical deadlines.
    • Conceptualize and integrate project plans and identify and evaluate alternative solutions and benefits.
    • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and engineers.

     

    • Interact, negotiate and influence people effectively at all levels in various organizations; manage resistance to change.
    • Use initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
    • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
    • Determine process and work flow alternatives and improvements.
    • Coordinate and lead project team meetings; problem resolution meetings as required.
    • Elevate and provide early warning of potential concerns issues and bring proposed solutions.

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related technical field and 10 years of experience.  
    • Project management experience, preferably in manufacturing and product development environments.
    • Operational Excellence via efficient plant design, experience preferred
    • Must have strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and analytical skills.
    • Must have strong leadership and presentation skills.
    • Position requires the candidate be self-motivated and self-directed, and accountable to the extent they can perform all tasks above without day to day direct supervision.
