  • Position Summary

    Provides administrative support to General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and other Senior Executives including daily correspondence, confidential reporting and scheduling/organizing meetings, travel and events.  Acts as point of contact for other Remington Outdoor Company locations regarding WIP and Employee orders.

    Primary Responsibilities

     

    • Provide administrative support to General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and other Senior Executives as directed
    • Assist in preparation and revision of legal documents
    • Assist in preparation and revision of corporate minutes
    • Organize corporate minute books
    • Assists in the preparation and supervises and maintenance of the department budget
    • Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system
    • Ensures proper indexing and filing of legal documents
    • Facilitates communication with all departments on projects that involve the EVP/General Counsel
    • Schedule meetings and maintain appointment calendars
    • Organize dinners, meetings and other special events as needed

     

      • Audits and validates expense reports for direct reports to the General Counsel before approval
      • Handle confidential information with discretion
      • Manages payment of invoices from outside law firms and other department vendors

     

    • Prepare and send out internal and external correspondence as needed
    • Make travel arrangements as needed with the company travel agent
    • Compile and review expense reports for the direct reports for General Counsel before forwarding for approval
    • Create purchase orders as needed and convert purchase requisitions as needed
    • Monthly update of BATF Bound Book records for Director, Corporate Compliance
    • Maintain FFL expirations and other related documents on Licensing/Reporting shared calendar for Director, Corporate Compliance
    • Interfacing with all levels of company personnel & VIP's
    • Special projects as assigned
    • Compile and prepare General Counsel’s expense reports

    • High school diploma
    • At least two-year related experience and/or training
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

    Language Skills                        

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from VIPs, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    Mathematical Skills                        

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.  
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.  
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    Reasoning Ability                        

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  
    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

    Computer Skills                        

    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Order processing systems and high level expertise using:
      • Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software
      • Microsoft Word Processing
      • Microsoft Powerpoint software

     

    Other Skills and Abilities                        

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills required.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under a timeline and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Regularly lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 100 pounds while working with gun packaging, movement, & shipments.
