  • Position Summary

    Provides technical support, product training, Custom built firearms, and repair support for:  internal Consumer Service, global network of authorized service centers, direct Consumer services, Sales departments; and external Retail Sales customers through detailed product and mechanical knowledge.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Primary liaison for Field Service Centers and Commercial Sales department and the Arms Service Parts & Repair Division providing technical support and processing all parts & repair orders for each of these divisions.
    • Evaluates existing and potential Field Service Centers to ensure that Remington is represented by qualified and reputable field organizations.
    • Maintains accurate records of existing Field Service Center agreements and performance capabilities.
    • Monitors success of Field Service Centers performance through Customer Survey Cards, follow-up phone surveys and Service Center visits and evaluations.
    • Provides training support to Field Service Centers through In-house/Field Schools, Field Service Manuals and electronic presentations.
    • Processes all Field Service Warranty Claims programs worldwide.
    • Insures accuracy of reporting and billing processes for Field Service Centers (Domestic & International).
    • Provides technical support for field sales representatives for parts and/or repair questions.
    • Establishes and conducts product training programs and provides technical support for the Consumer Service Department and Field Sales team.
    • Provides product training programs and Firearms safety training programs to Remington locations as needed.
    • Develops and administers Retail Training programs and materials to aid Remington retail customer sales associates in their product knowledge development and sales capabilities of Remington products.
    • Assists with development of Retail Training School schedules and programs.
    • Conducts Retail Armorer Schools as scheduled.
    • Conducts technical product training for all Commercial Sales teams (internationally and domestically)
    • Provides technical support at trade shows.
    • Help support and maintain the online technical training for retail training programs (like 3point5)
    • Help develop online technical support for consumer, retail, and sales support.
    • Provide technical sales support internationally and domestically
    • Have a working knowledge and ability to Build custom guns as needed to support performance center.
    • Have a working knowledge and ability to repair production guns as needed to support the repair dept in Huntsville.
    • Have a working knowledge of SAP rep
    • DMS systems, and inventory movements
    • Have a working knowledge of SAP shipping systems.
    • Have a working knowledge of SAP sales orders for all material types
    • Have a working knowledge and ability to operate standard equipment used in a machine shop.  
    • Travel up to 75% of the year internationally and domestically

    • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
    • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

    Other Qualifications

    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
    • Ability to utilize and manipulate Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint to develop reports, presentations and statistical data.
    • Understanding of the mechanical functions of all Remington firearms and be able to explain functions to a group.
    • In-depth knowledge of all firearms and ammunition.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 75% of the time.
    • Must either possess a current valid Passport or have the ability to obtain one.
