Responsible for all costing and inventory valuation decisions and changes, including: costing new product, as well as annual update of established product, inventory reconciliation, physical inventory process, and monthly closing process.
Develop and Maintain Ilion facility Standard cost for new product, and annual update of standard costs.
Participate in Creation and Maintenance of Material costs, as well as Labor & Overhead rates in SAP, via annual Budget Process.
Provide assistance to MIM plant in regards to quoting process for new product development.
Provide Production, Engineering, Planning, and Purchasing support in regards to all costing and inventory issues in SAP.
Participate in monthly closing process, including: preparation of journal vouchers and trial balance reconciliations, and order settlement of production orders.
Analyze production order variances, and identify corrective action and/or timing issues.
Coordinate and Reconcile Physical inventories of Raw Material And Semi-finished Goods in Custom Shop and Arm Service plants, as well as Lexington facility; physical inventory process for balance of facility, if deemed necessary.
Provide assistance in the Physical Inventory of Finished Product at Ilion, Custom Shop and Arm Service as needed in SAP and DMS, including reconciliation of the Finished Product DMS/SAP serial number inventory.
Provide assistance regarding inventory discrepancies, as required, including identification of root cause and recommendations of corrective action.
Provide assistance to Outside Auditing in regards to Costing, Excess/Obsolescence, and Inventory related issues.
Maintain Excess and Obsolescence reserve for Stores, Raw Material and Semi-finished Goods.
Assist in thorough testing of any new processes developed in SAP, as well as new upgrades to SAP in regards to Costing and Inventory Control.
Provide assistance with annual processes, including NAFTA calculation, Excise Tax calculation, and other required reporting.
Follow all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations.

B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent from four-year college preferred; or minimum ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to calculate figures and to apply concepts of basic algebra. Must be proficient in Excel/Word software.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people and employees.
