  • Position Summary

    General Summary:

    Primary responsibility is answer all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate people as well as personally greet all visitors and guests. The receptionist/administrative assistant must provide superior service via telephone, email, and in person.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Principal Duties and Accountabilities (*Essential Functions):

    Composes, types, copies, and maintains routine correspondence, forms, and reports, vacation schedules, expense statements, cash advances, reimbursements, spreadsheets and letters. Files correspondence and other records.


    • Enter Requisitions/forward to Plant Manager
    • Record Scrap on Monthly Scrap Report/Do Scrap transactions on SAP orders
    • Prepare Daily Requirement sheet by Updating schedule and any movement of parts in production.
    • Prepare Bill of Ladings for any outgoing shipments
    • Keep Daily Call-in Log
    • Distribute morning position reports
    • Daily Employee Efficiencies for Production Supervisors
    • Prepare box labels for shipments
    • Responsible for Petty Cash and records of dispursements
    • Incoming/outgoing mail and postage
    • Contact copier supplier for maintenance and supplies
    • Sort and distribute payroll checks to supervisors
    • Final confirmations of shipment on SAP orders
    • Creating Cycle count packets
    • Goods receipts of inventory received on Dock


    Follows all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • One to two years previous work related experience in related position required.


    Language Skills:

    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a verity of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a verity of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.


    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.


    Other Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
    • Excellent telephone and written correspondence skills.
    • Must be able to handle multiple priorities at the same time.
    • Proficiency of MS Office; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Good time management and organizational skills.
    • Proficient with the following equipment, muli-line phone system, 10 key, computer printer, copier, and fax machine.                                                                                                     


    Other Qualifications:

    Must be able to work in a team environment and interact with other departments of Remington. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Results oriented and self motivated. Able to promote a positive relationship between the company, visitors and customer base.
