Supervises employees engaged in the manufacturing of sporting firearms by performing the following duties:
Manages material and tooling requirements to meet production goals.
Evaluates production schedules and hour requirements necessary for schedule compliance.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Examines items produced to determine if they meet specifications.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Communicates to employees expected performance standards. Holds regular communication and training meetings with employees. Encourages ideas and feedback from employees.
Follows all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Associate's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related.
Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a high volume or job shop machine operation.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
