Position Summary



Plans and executes production activities to align with organization objectives including safety, compliance, quality, on-time delivery and an engaged and productive workforce.

Primary Responsibilities



Responsible for Production site; including all support functions


Coordinates production in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by Director of MSR’s & Handguns


Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.


Guides and directs Group and Team Leaders in day-to-day activities including adherence to organizational guidelines


Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.


Directs preparation of accounting records. Recommends budgets to management.


Follows all plant safety rules and regulations.

Manages subordinate leaders who lead employees in the Manufacture and/or Assembly of firearm components.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and

evaluation of multiple departments.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Will demonstrate strong leadership qualities such as:

Skills and Education Required

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Proficient in Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, Access) & SAP/ME


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables


Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts and practices.


Experienced with CNC Machining equipment; preferred 2+ years’ experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, explosives, and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment varies. Personal protective equipment to limit exposure to these environments will be provided.


Employees may encounter hazardous wastes during their work.  Hazardous wastes are to be handled appropriately; including applicable use of PPE, placement into compatible containers, container labeling and marking; etc.  Additionally, wastes may need to be transported to/from satellite accumulation areas to 90-day accumulation area; via dolly, forklift, etc. All employees working with, handling, or managing hazardous wastes will receive annual RCRA training. Those employees preparing waste for shipment will receive additional trainings (DOT).
