Position Summary

Position Summary:


The position of Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for analysis and reporting of financials associated with the planning and manufacturing of goods across Remington while also providing as needed financial support to other Remington functions.

Primary Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Act as primary corporate financial analyst for manufacturing, product management, and fulfillment function; lead the development of standardized analytics and detailed reporting tools.
  • Provide financial support for various business segments focusing on month end close, budgeting and forecasting, and monthly variance analysis of results as compared to financial commitments.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on product performance for both internal and external use. 
  • Support inventory management activities with detailed analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate information provided by business partners; identify variances and provide insights to management on drivers of business performance. 
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget; gather, analyze and consolidate input to generate plan results for presentation internally and externally. 
  • Support the monthly reporting process by coordinating timely delivery of financials, metrics, and other deliverables across multiple manufacturing facilities, business functions, and partners. 
  • Perform various Ad hoc requests and analysis as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum 3 years experience in Business, Finance, or closely related field.


Language Skills:

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. 
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.


Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 


Computer Skills:                       

Highly proficient with PC in Microsoft environment, including:

  • Spreadsheet
  • Database
  • Word processing
  • Presentation capabilities
  • Proficient with with SAP,  BPC/Hyperion and BI  


Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be detail oriented 
  • Exceptional financial modeling and scenario analysis skills, expert in defining and guiding the design of data-intensive models.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with financial statements and current GAAP concepts
  • Ability to multi-task, handle competing priorities, meet deadlines with quality and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective in sharing information with cross functional team members
  • Ability to interact effectively with top management and all personnel throughout the company.
