Position Summary

The Custodial Technician performs cleaning related tasks This person reports any problems, or suspicious activity to the appropriate supervisor or manager.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Empty trash and recycling
  • Dust, wipe and spot clean all surfaces
  • Vacuum, mop, and wet mop designated areas
  • Operation of commercial carpet cleaner.
  • Clean multiple restrooms entirely by utilizing disinfectants and bathroom cleaners, restock restroom supplies as needed, remove trash, clean fixtures, mirrors, and dispensers, sweep and/or wet mop floors.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of breakrooms, cafeteria and common areas..
  • Ensure all lights are on/off and appropriate doors are locked when leaving an area.
  • Keep closets clean, neat and orderly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must have ability to fluently speak and read the English language
  • US Citizenship required
  • Previous Manufacturing and or Assembly Experience preferred

  • Work independently with little supervision.



  • Medium to fast paced modern production facility
  • Work may involve close proximity to moving machinery
  • May be exposed to blood-borne pathogens
  • Limited exposure to chemicals and solutions


Employees may encounter hazardous wastes during the course of their work.  Hazardous wastes are to be handled appropriately; including applicable use of PPE, placement into compatible containers, container labeling and marking; etc.  Additionally, wastes may need to be transported to/from satellite accumulation areas to 90-day accumulation area; via dolly, forklift, etc. All employees working with, handling, or managing hazardous wastes will receive annual RCRA training. Those employees preparing waste for shipment will receive additional trainings (DOT).




  • Must be able to stand and walk on a continuous basis.
  • Requires occasional bending or stooping and squatting/crouching.
  • Reaching over head and pulling and pushing, moving objects
  • Use of both hands
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
